Privacy Policy
From the 25th May 2018 New Data Protection Laws (GDPR) comes into force. Under GDPR you have the following rights and you can find out more details on these rights on the ICO website.
Right of Access
Under Article 15 of the GDPR, you have the right of access, commonly referred to as subject access, which gives you the right to obtain a copy of your personal data that we hold.
Right to Rectification
Under Article 16 of the GDPR, you have the right to have inaccurate personal data rectified.
Right to Erasure
Under Article 17 of the GDPR, you have the right to have your personal data erased. This is also known as the ‘right to be forgotten’.
Right to Restrict Processing
Article 18 of the GDPR gives you the right to restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances. This means that you can limit the way iSpaniel uses your data. This is an alternative to requesting the erasure of your personal data.
Right to Data Portability
Article 20 of the GDPR provides the right to data portability which gives you the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. iSpaniel will fulfil any requests under this right, where technically feasible.
Right to Object
Article 21 of the GDPR gives you the right to object to the processing of your personal data. This effectively allows you to ask iSpaniel to stop processing their personal data.
Data We Collect
On this Website
We may ask you for a testimonial about our service for us to publish on this website. If you agree to this, by default we will reference your name in the testimonial. If you do not wish for your name to be on the website, then please inform us and we will anonymise the testimonial source.
On Paper & Online
For each of our clients, we gather information about the client and their dogs onto paper or online forms. This information is needed so we can understand important information about the dog so we can provide the best possible service. Information recorded on paper is stored in a filing cabinet in a locked premises. Data recorded electronically uses Google Forms which is covered by Google's Cloud GDPR policy which can be found here.
Client data in all forms will be retained for 5 years, or until we are asked to destroy this by the data subject.
In Email
Emails sent to us, including any attachments, may be monitored and used by us to track customer interaction and we may use software to monitor or block received emails. The email is hosted by Google and may be processed by them in line with their privacy policy and terms & conditions.
Social Media
If you message us via Social Media the message will be archived within the social media platform it was sent to unless you request its deletion. We may advertise through Facebook and whether you see these ads or not will depend on Facebook's advertising algorithms. We may also post information and photos to the Dipity Dogs Facebook page, but we will never do this in such a way as to identify an individual.
Telephone Contact
When you call us we will usually ask how you found out about us and our services, this information will be used to ascertain the best way to promote the business. We will ask if we can keep your contact details on file for marketing purposes. You can decline for us to hold your contact information for marketing purposes should you wish to do so.
